How we use cookies
This website’s application code is designed to minimise cookies for public visitors. We do not load Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, or similar marketing tags in this codebase. A cookie-consent banner records your choice before any optional category would be allowed to run.
Cookies we set in this application
The following first-party cookies are set by this application. nv_consent is written only after you make a cookie choice. admin_session is written only after a successful staff login.
- Name: nv_consent. Provider: NexTechVion (first-party). Purpose: remember whether you accepted, rejected, or customised optional cookie categories. Type: strictly necessary for storing that choice. Duration: up to 180 days, or until you change it. Attributes in code: Path=/, SameSite=Lax, Secure on HTTPS. Contents: a JSON record with policy version, category flags, and a timestamp. This record is not HTTP-only and is not treated as tamper-proof.
- Name: admin_session. Provider: NexTechVion (first-party). Purpose: keep an authorised staff member signed in to /admin. Type: strictly necessary for the admin area. Duration: 7 days, or until logout. Attributes in code: HTTP-only, SameSite=Lax, Secure in production, path /admin. Contents: a signed token that includes the staff email address and an expiry time.
Similar technologies (not cookies)
Name: nextechvion-consent. Storage: browser localStorage. Purpose: same consent record as nv_consent, kept on the device so the banner is not shown again until the choice expires or the consent-policy version changes. Value stored: JSON with version, category flags, and timestamp.
Name: nextechvion-theme. Storage: browser localStorage. Purpose: remember that the site uses a dark theme. Value stored: the word “dark”. This is not used to identify you.
Analytics and advertising
No analytics or advertising cookies are implemented in this website’s application code. The consent interface still lets you allow or refuse Analytics and Marketing categories. Those categories stay inactive until a real integration is added and your stored choice allows it. Accepting all categories today does not load a tracker that is not in the application. If we add such tools later, we will update this policy and the consent-policy version so you can choose again if the change is material.
Hosting and third-party requests
The platform that hosts the site, and content-delivery networks used for some images, may set their own cookies or logs. Those behaviours are not defined in this repository, so we do not list names or durations for them here.
Managing cookies
Use Cookie Preferences in the site footer to review or change your choice. Rejecting optional categories keeps strictly necessary storage and does not enable analytics. Changing the stored consent-policy version will ask for a new choice. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking storage may show the banner again on each visit. Staff login still requires the admin session cookie.
